Old Man Winter Trail Race #2
APPLETON, NY: The Winery at Marjim Manor - Please join us on Saturday January 21, 2023 for the Old Man Winter Trail Race #2 at Marjim Manor. The race is being brought to you by iRun WNY and will take place entirely on Marjim Manor and adjacent property in Appleton, New York. CLICK HERE to learn about the history and legend of Marjim Manor. We are planning to use the same course (CLICK HERE TO VIEW MAP) that we used for the first race of the series (Approx 3.2 miles).
All participants who register by January 10th are guaranteed to receive an official Old Man Winter race shirt in your desired size. An alternate participant gift (TBD) will be provided if you register late after January 10th.
We have designed a scenic single loop course that takes place primarily on grass, gravel trails, farm roads, and through the Bittner/Singer apple orchards. There is also a short section of asphalt roadway at the end of the course leading back to the start/finish line.
WEATHER ALERT! Keep your eye on the weather leading up to race day. Property owners will plow the trails prior to race day. Depending on the weather that day, running trails could be drifted and/or snow covered, clear, muddy, frozen, soft, or all of the above. Prepare for the weather and dress appropriately.

POST RACE CELEBRATIONJoin us after the race for what is sure to become one of the most unique post race celebrations in Western New York! Race participants will enjoy spectacular winter landscapes, Lake Ontario scenic overlook while running, finish line music, light food/snacks, and of course the winery is open for business after your run!PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking available at Marjim Manor.
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Awards will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers. Age group winners will be announced and all participants can download custom finisher certificates from the event page and view/share finish line photos following the race!
14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, shelter-in-place, limit on social gatherings, etc), we want runners to know up front that we reserve the right to reschedule the event date if needed OR convert this to a virtual 5K race. There will be no refunds.
TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Professional timing and finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
